Germany has a very rich tradition of creating and screening wonderful cinema, and there is a strong independent cinema scene in Berlin.
SERET International is celebrating six years of bringing great cinema to audiences in the UK and is proud to announce the second Israeli Film & TV Festival in Berlin taking place from September 14-19 2017.
We have a stunning programme for our Berlin Festival that gives a glimpse of the world-leading, innovative, dynamic and passionate film industry in Israel. It’s an industry that is outward-looking, creating great cinema and TV that reflects themes that resonate however and wherever you live, not limiting itself to the conflict which so often colours perception of the country.
The Festival programme includes feature, documentary and short films, which will be screened at three Berlin cinemas; Hackesche Hoefe Kino, Kino Kant and Moviemento.
SERET International is delighted to be showing the work of many new film-makers, a reflection of the support that the Israeli film industry gives to nurturing new talent.
We look forward to meeting film-lovers in Berlin!

The SERET International Israeli film festival is a private initiative created by individuals who deeply care about bringing Israeli cinema and culture to major cultural hubs in the world.
The success and interest we received in promoting Israeli German co-productions has confirmed the significance of a regular cultural dialogue between the two countries. Following this recognition, SERET Berlin 2016 was inaugurated. As part of our first SERET Berlin Festival, we established a German-Israeli industry day which was a great success and will become an annual event in years to come. It is an embodiment of the vision we hold that Israeli films and filmmakers have the potential for a significant creative and commercial impact and this needs to be strengthened by facilitating face to face encounters between German and Israeli film professionals in a more casual setting than only in the major international film festivals such as Cannes and Berlinale.
